Privacy Policy

ElayaLuxe ("we", "us") operates elayaluxe.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

When you submit a pricing request, custom design request, or contact form, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, phone number, preferred contact times, and the content of your message. When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address. Like most websites, our platform (Shopify) also collects standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, via cookies.

How we use it

We use your information solely to respond to your enquiries, provide quotes, fulfil custom orders, and, where you have opted in, send our newsletter. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Information is processed through Shopify, whose privacy practices are described at shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and to receive your enquiries. The store and website are hosted by Shopify. Enquiry, quote request and contact form submissions reach us through a third-party form delivery service, and our email is handled by our mail provider. Each of them processes your information only to provide that service to us, and none of them is permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts and authorities under the laws of that country. We keep the number of providers as small as we reasonably can, and we review this list when it changes.

Cookies

This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping your session, and analytics cookies that tell us which pages people visit so we can improve the site. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and you can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies does not stop you using the site or contacting us.

Marketing and unsubscribing

We send the private list only to people who have asked for it. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by emailing info@elayaluxe.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect messages about a quote or an order you have asked us for.

How we protect your information

Access to enquiry information is limited to the people who need it to serve you, and this website is served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires.

Retention and your rights

We retain enquiry information for as long as needed to serve you. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing info@elayaluxe.com. Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA; British Columbia residents under PIPA (BC).

Young people

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province.
